مثال صياغة الروابط

كي تصبح المواضع بالشكل التالي

في نفس الوقت ؟

Remove -image and -category from PhotoPlog CRR URL

Currently my PhotoPlog URLs are like this:

/pictures/category-composers-8/

/pictures/image-christoph-willibold-gluck-88/

I want to have them like this:

Code:

/pictures/composers-8/

/pictures/christoph-willibold-gluck-88/

The URL seems to change if I simply remove the -image and -category tags from the CRRs, but if I just do that, both the untagged and tagged URLs work. I would like all the tagged URLs to redirect to the untagged version after I've made the change. How can I do that?

( Obviously I'm using vBSEO's PhotoPlog CRRs and .htaccess rules )

Please review :)

Recently on my board we have a large number of threads about a specific topic (cooking knives). I created a sub forum to move these threads to but I was surprised that the path at the top does not show the parent forum in the path.

My parent forum path is:

And my sub forum path is:

http://www.cheftalk.com/forums/cooking-knives/

I was hoping it would be like this:

Any thoughts on this? Is this recommended?

404 images interfering with WOL

hi,

I am facing a problem where viewing index.php shows an Unknown location in Who's online. (its pointing to images that gives a 404)

I am sure it is not caused by any mod. It is caused due to my editing of forumhome_forumbit_level1_post and level2 template where I have added a code to display image icons for forums (these are not forumstatus icons, just a display icon besides forumtitle). I used forumid variable ofcourse.

Now, I do not want icons for all forums. Thus, there's a 404 for those images in the code, but that doesn't matter and it looks fine.

SO why does WOL having a problem with that? Why 404 images on forumhome interfering with Whos online feature?

In short, Whenever I view index.php or forumdisplay.php, and if any of the forums have 404 image icons, then it shows an Unknown location to that 404 image in WOL.

Disabling vbseo alone does not solve the problem BUT removing htaccess along with it, does solve it.

I am using vbseo 3.2.0 with vbulletin 3.7.4 PL1. My htaccess is here as you can see with one line modified as suggested by oleg sir!

Navbar Link Issue

I installed a small modification in navbar that is pulling from userfield. It's supposed to display some links, but vBseo is blocking it. If I disable vBseo it works just fine. Is there a way to tell vbseo to ignore a plugin?

Can vbSEO be setup to 'process' vbAdvanced Dynamics pages?

Hi. I was wondering if vbSEO can be setup to 'process' vbAdvanced Dynamics pages.

I know vba includes a rewrite utility and some seo stuff, but I am guessing that the Dynamics 'articles' pages would be far better off processed with vbSEO's seo functions (meta replacement, acronym expansion, etc etc).

I have vBulletin installed in /forums and vbAdvanced Dynamics in /articles. Server is a Win 2003 with IIS 6.0.

Article script recommendations that are vbseo friendly

Been trying to research which article script to get that is vbseo friendly.

It seems that GARS comes quite highly recommended on here and there are some settings you can activate for it in the config php file.

Is there a site map add on to use with it and if not, would any articles still get indexed in the same way new posts do that are included in the sitemap on normal forum posts.

I have a quick question....how often should you update your sitemap in Google. I know the vbseo sitemap is automatic, but I have written a very small one for my online videos and i manually update the file when i put up a new video.....should i resubmit after every added url??

And my site does far better than that. They sent me this Email. Any suggestions?
