Well, I just added VBSeo tonight. After doing a site:usfkforums.com on Google I have 13,900 pages. Hopefully, I will see an increase this week. Seems that Google was already indexing my pages pretty well.

Hopefully - However do take in consideration that many times the number of indexed pages drops as "noise content" will start to get removed:

Forumdisplay sorting
Search pages
vB Error Messages
New reply
Shothread+goto

Send message

Member.php

On the other hand, actual threads/posts get more exposure due to the new, ultra-consistent internal linking structure, so this will most likely level things out.

I agree. I do think the VBSeo install will help me get more quality links and give me a better PR for individual pages. I would prefer 1,000 quality links with a high PR than 12,900 links that have no PR.

Ok, so far a net gain of 600 pages in one day. Since this first post I went from 13,900 to 14,500. I resubmitted my site to Google after the VBSeo install. NOTE: I will loose a lot of links soon as I still see all of my old links in there.

Ouch! I guess the cleaning has begun! Using the site map I noticed the Google bot has been visiting as much as 1,000+ a day for the last 5 days. Well, I just went from 14,500 pages indexed in Google to 520.

I guess you have to feel pain before you make gains.

Since you have recently moved your forums from:
http://forums.usfkclassifieds.com/
to
http://www.usfkclassifieds.com/

I suggest adding the following rules to the root of
forums.usfkclassifieds.com at the top of top of your .htaccess file:

RewriteEngine On
 
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^forums\.usfkclassifieds\.com
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.usfkclassifieds.com/$1 [L,R=301]
 

This will prevent broken links from your current http://forums. SERPS

As for an update, I am up to 664 pages indexed in Google. That's a gain of 144 from a few days ago. Hopefully, I will get a few major jumps soon.

Can’t say I am too happy. Now I am down to 128 sites indexed in Google. From almost 14,000 to 128.

It's only early in the process Mike. Stick with it and your indexed page count will restore itself.

Yeah, you are right. I know how slow Google can take! It took me several months just to get listed and almost a year to get a PR of 5 on the main index. I love the product and know it will work out in the end.
