Wink Question and Tracking soccer-fans

Hello,

my Forumn is: Soccer-Fans

I have some question about my onpage seo. I hope you can give me some advices. I will make the first screens of my analytics account tomorrow.

My Problem is, that I have the same traffic since 3 Months ago.

In that time the Postcount is grown from 50.000 Posts to now 106.000 Posts. But the traffic was the same. About 400 - 500 google Refs per Day.

I´ve changed the Url Rewrite, so the most subforums having no PR at the moment.

With the next update my Startpage should get PR 5 and the subforums PR 4.

I hope that the Traffic will grow than.

So what do you think about my meta tags in the Showthread pages?

Ok, or should I turn to vbseo standard?

I have set very much Deeplinks in the subforumns and some important threads, some keywordphrases are ranking better than ever. I think that is the right way to get some special words with backlinks in the top 5.

Is there anything you would change, if this was your Forum?

Sorry for my bad english, I´m from germany. ;-)

First of April we are starting with 450 google Referals.

I hope you could give me an advice on optimizing my onpage-seo, specially the Meta Tags an Description.

Other Tips are welcome too.

I will build in the tips, optimize my forum and I hope at end of april I can show you a nice google analytics graph with a little growth.

Changing your URL structure is a bad idea. everytime you do this, your entire site needs to be re-indexed. It's basically like starting over with 0 SERP's.

Meta tag's are over-rated. hardly anything uses them any more.

I would suggest adding appropriate H1 and H2's on your pages to give the page more weight to the topic.

i use something like this below my nav bar:

Code:
<if condition="$show['forumdesc']">
            <h1 class="descr" style="text-align: center; margin: 0; padding: .2em; background: #345; color:#ffffff;">$navbits[lastelement]</h1>

<else />
           <h1 class="descr" style="text-align: center; margin: 0; padding: .2em; background: #345; color: #ffffff;">
<if condition="(THIS_SCRIPT == 'tags')">Thread Tags<else />MYSITE  Forums
</if></h1>
</if>

Thanks for your advice. I´ve changed to original vbseo meta description, add h1 tags.

I´ve set the number of Threads on forumdisplay pages from 20 to 50, an the number from posts per page from 15 to 20.

In my tempate i´ve changed that signatures are not shown for guest.

I´m waiting for next PR Update, and happy to see that most pages will get a PR.

I think now i have to wait.

End of the months, i will show my analytics stats and hope that i will look very nice. :-)

Thank You briansol.

Next PR update is probably a few months out, so just hang tight. I'm sure there will be a thread about it when it happens here.

good luck
