Ongoing report: techsupportteam.org

Hello vBSEO community,

I bought vBSEO for my forums two days ago, I am hoping it will bring in some more traffic.

Ok, I started my site back in October2007, hosted on a free account with freeforums.org using phpBB. However; I wasn't happy and wanted more control over my site, so I decided to splash the cash and purchase hosting with LunarPages and buy vBulletin -- never looked back. I then installed Photopost gallery, which is also great!

So far, TST has 221 members -- not bad considering I only started to work on my site fully towards the end of December 2007.

Well, as mentioned earlier, I have purchased vBSEO -- hoping it will bring in more and more traffic.

Now to the stats, I'll try to update this as much as possible:

Site: Tech support Team - Providing free computer help & support

First, some stats from Google, Yahoo and MSN using this query (which isn't that accurate anymore) site:domain.com

Google: 7,630
Yahoo: 223
MSN: Only get my sites domain, unfortunately.

Below, you will find some screenshots taken from google analytics account.

Again, I will try to update at least once a month.

As a side note, over the coming months -- we'll be having an homepage (contentteller CMS System) with more pages, such as guides, articles/reviews, downloads and more! Were still awaiting for the release of contentteller - success of Storyteller CMS system.

We also plan on a new logo sometime soon!

Comments and critiques are all welcome!

Thank you for reading!

Yes, where it starts rising is when I installed it LOL.

I see there is only one google and one yahoo spider on my forums at the moment, shouldn't there be more?

I see, but if I have just installed vBSEO (2 days ago), then I would of thought there would of been more crawling to get all the new urls.

I would expect it as well with vBSEO and our sitemap; however, I would give it another week or so. We have to account for unpredictability with Google.

Which I guess is doing it's job as it restricted 331 urls for crawling.

I have two unreachable urls, which are:

Thanks!

That's your PageRank distribution, etc.

Check the section that outlines crawling activity. It will show charts that are a great instant visual on crawling activity.

Quote:
Tools / Manage Crawl Rate

Although we want Google to crawl and index our site as quick as possible, some sites have limited server resources.

In cases like this, you might want to select a slower crawling rate to prevent your server or hosting account from getting overwhelming during peak crawling times.

In general, if your server can handle it, let Google crawl your forum as fast as it can possibly do so, without any limitations.

Tips:
  • The handy graphs that are provided are a great way for you to see how much attention Google has been paying to your site, at a moment's glance. Expect fluctuations, but if you see a rapid decline, followed by a period of low to no crawling activity, something may be wrong. You have to check your site for errors.
  • Check the # of kbs per day downloaded to get an idea of how much bandwidth is being consumed. For most of you this is not a big concern. Bandwidth is cheap today. Server resources are what come at a greater premium.
  • Check the time spent download a page, if this is consistently averaging in excess of 1,000+ milliseconds, it could indicate that your server resources are getting over taxed.

I cannot see anything that shows crawling graph in google webmasters tools.

I cannot click "Set crawl rate" nor "Manage site verification".

Yes, I know where it is. Please read before posting. I said, I could not click the "Set crawl rate"; however I have just gone to my root domain and it allows me to click it:

Graphs are below.
