Hello All

Ive had my parenting forum up and running for about 4/5 weeks ( not a long time i know ), ive added mods to speed it up and others to improve the look, but i cant get visitors to sign up.

Any idea how i can improve the forum to get people to joining in ?

I would add the improved welcome message plugin from TedS
Maybe my Remove statistic information to increase registrations - vBulletin.org Forum mod as well

Then try to make link partnerships with other forums in your niche.
Try to build links like e.g. in directories.
Be active in other forums with the same targeted usergroup but not with the same topic as your forum and add your forum url to the footer with a small teaser text maybe.

Create lots of content, e.g. create a few fake users and start interesting discussions with them/yourself.

Get RSS News feeds fitting your theme in a News Forum to get automated content, which will increase your search enginge listings and will get you more user over time.

Most Important: Get rid of some of your forums. Merge them so that you only have 7-10 Forums for the beginning. The more forums you have the less active your forum appears for a long time.
Create new sub forums if you see a special area is of high interest and lots of topics are created.

Just be patient. It takes a lot of time to develope a forum in such a saturated niche as parenting.
