Hey Everyone,

I switched domain names on my place today. The old domain was online for 5 months and getting about 40% of traffic from google. My site was in the first page of google for its main keyword. Can't wait to see what is going to happened once the new domain name updates and on what page it will be on.

Is the old domain still online with a 301 redirect in place to direct traffic from the old version to the new?

Yes it is. I have it setup with a .htaccess 301.

Question does the PR transfer also?

Link value should transfer. Visible Google Toolbar Ranking should return to normal levels, but will likely take a few months for it to update.

One new link is already showing in google for the new domain.

I wondered about how would i know if vbseo was working on my site. I check my site stats daily but did not pay attention to this little detail. Looking at webalizer i notice that after installing vbseo my site traffic doubled. From october - december i did not have vbseo on my board. I made my purchase and installed vbseo on december 29 or the 30th and after installing it my traffic doubled.

webalizer kinda sucks.

i'd recommend going with a real analytics program, like google.com/analytics, or pony up some cash for omniture, etc

I just started using analytics about a month ago. :(

Is awstats any good?

for server traffic and useage, sure. for monitoring your visitors and getting a good idea of WHO your visitors are, no.
