I installed vBSEO yesterday on www.littlewales.com so starting a progress log to keep a record of things.

Here are the 1st stats to set a marker:

19th November (site:www.littlewales.com)
Google: 186
Yahoo: 1,150
MSN: 65


I also installed the vBSEO Sitemap plugin and going from seeing only 1 googlebot spider on my site, I have had 18 on here today. I have tried the other vB sitemap addons but did very little.

It's looking very promising so far!

Yahoo and MSN have improved but not sure what is going on with Google especially with 18 GoogleBots yesterday at the same time.

I'll post more results tomorrow.

Even though google has added 10 extra links, there are now a good handful of vBSEO links in the results.

There has been a big jump in the yahoo results but i've not been able see any vBSEO links there just yet.

No change in MSN.

Great to see the before and after effects, especially after working hard at the onpage things, and appropriate keyword selection.

There was little change with Google and Yahoo but there was a big jump with MSN. Here are the bot reports from sitemap also and the figures look really good:

Not much change today from the 1st three but i've noticed a lot of AOL bots are now visiting the forum and all the listings have the vBSEO URLs so i've added AOL to my list to monitor it as well.

I won't post more daily results but I'll do this on a weekly basis instead and do some deeper digging with the results to see exactly what the SE have been up to.

One thing that i've noticed with AOL is that it's only indexing what it finds on the forums index.php (forumhome) page. It doesn't want to go any deeper at the moment.

I said my updates were going to be weekly but just wanted to add todays to help monitor some changes i've made.

What did you do? did you submit a sitemap within 2 days?

vBSEO has 3 tools. 2 of them are free if you have an up to date license at vBulletin.

• Conditional Signatures
• Google/Yahoo Sitemap

Then, they have a 3rd that is available for purchase here at this website.

Personally, I think you need them all, or at the very least the sitemap and the vBSEO plugin.

Google listsings are starting to look really good for me

As sportsoutlaw said, vBSEO is essential and well worth the money. vBSEO sitemap is another incredible tool which I know along with vBSEO has made Google finally take an interest in my site.

The conditional sigs is also out of this world for working with adsense and not against it.

The sitemap is created everyday and does its automatic poll to google to come and collect it. Couldn't be easier.

I'm still trying to get yahoo to get it's txt sitemap but not having much luck with that just yet. Shouldn't be to long now though
