From ipb -> vbulletin and vbseo

Forum för webbutiksägare - programvara av vBulletin

Have just moved from invision power board 1.3 to vbulletin and vbseo. As I work with seo fulltime, a year ago I did some customized seo for my board. But oboy what a messy code, and I didnt accomplish half of what I should. Thats how it goes when the developers only think about efficiency and security.

Anyway Here is my stats:
Visitors: About 500 with Analytics
Indexed pages around 9170
Adsense $23 december

The indexed pages probably won't go up much as it's lot of crap indexed today like Printer friendly pages and so. So whats intresting here is the visitors, will my present rank rise more with vbseo? I will do some serious work with links also, to be able to get some new forums topics going.

I'll keep you posted

That's about when I did my move too, and I agree about not doing it sooner.

First week report

Indexing:
Very early to report, but alot of new pages has been indexed (did a customized 301 redirect from my old ipb threads to the new url). Looking good.

Vistors:
Hmm, around 400-500 per day with analytics. Something seems strange here between awstats (6.5) and analytics, it's impossible that I lost 1000 visitors over a day. Pageviews is also different, 15000 vs 3500.

Adsense
$17 in 7 days! That will be $67 for a whole month (4x17), instead of $29. This is only because of the ad placement change I found in this thread:
Any good tips for uping the revenue?

Okay. Now we have the stats without the addition sitewide ranking boost I (probably) will receive.

awstats is server-based and tracks everything.
GA is javascript based, and will not track bots, or anything that won't accept a cookie

Yes, but it should exclude bots from the visitorstats?

Visitors: The same as before, about 500
Indexed pages: 16 000 (Before 9170)
Adsense: $240 last month (Before: $23 per month. Huge jump becouse of this tip)

Well, both good and "bad" news. We can see that the adsense income has skyrocket, but I don't think thats really has anything to do with the application vbseo. It's probably only because of the poor ad placement I had before and the ultimate I have now. Anyway, real good!

Indexed pages has rised, but doesnt seem to give any more visitors. As I wrote before my old forum had a customized sitemap and all title tags was set to the thread title. This seems to be enough to get all pages indexed and rank good. Should also say that it feels like all new pages are indexed faster now when the Google sitemap is activeted.

Below is the Analytics stats since I changed to vBulletin and vbseo. I did have a good peak around 700 visitors when I sent out my very first newsletter.

Feel free to comment...

To get more traffic, add relevant replacements. It really helps with better SERPs...at least it has for me.

Start doing some advertising and get some nice linkbacks.
