Finally got un-lazy

Ok so finally got off my butt and decided to get vBSEO and test it out on one of my highly active sites where i make between $3-5 a day with adsense. I was suprized that i was able to install it within 4 minutes of recieving Joe's PM! Only problem I had was my disbelief that I had no problems - I kept checking to make sure I did it correct but I did! Thanks guys. In anycase we'll keep this here to show my progress on my site. If all goes well like I expect it to, I will be getting another vBSEO licence for the site I am launching that will be intended to be my "Briansol" like site

Update: It's been almost two weeks since installing vBSEO now I know how SEO can be finicky etc at the moment i am going off of sites indexed according to google. Let me know if i should have any other stats.

EdmontonPaintball.com - went from 200 something indexed sites to 1 - However went from page 3 to page 1 slot 1 of my keywords (Edmonton Paintball). According to Google Webmaster tools I have over 120,000 pages submitted to be indexed - so waiting to see when that will happen. Since it currently isn't considered a very important page I'm assuming it'll be some time before I see results. My adsense went from $5-7 a day to being $0.20 - $0.70 a day!! A HUGE drop- Relevant ad replacement is turned on. I also notice slightly different ads. This site has been up since 2005.

VibeUnderground.com - Went from 10 indexed to 115 - all I really have to report- Site's only been up really since the day I got vBSEO lol

It seems that vBSEO is doing my new site good -but my older site not so good - but that's not really vBSEOs fault more so google liking to index my pages slowly on EdmontonPaintball.com it had my vBGallery indexed which i have not had turned on since a year and half ago! about 100 of those indexed sites for this site were vBGallery or old indexed sites. So i am expecting really good results once the next push is out with the newest content.

Your AdSense dropped? Do the new ads seem more or less relevant than before?

Are you running our sitemap?

Yes adsense dropped - big time - but ads seem a bit less relevant now, with the exception that Edmonton is the city, and i get a slightly bit more Edmonton ads compared to before but before was more of a broader range of ads, which i know seems wierd, but looks like got me more money. (before it even showed a couple paintball ads) I'm going to wait it out a bit and see if it picks up, unless turning off the relevant ad thing will do the trick right away. I am using vBSEO Sitemap, it's what helped submit the sitemap to google that says there are that many. My registration has also dropped quite a bit - but that seems to be a trend every December the last 3 years it's been a huge drop on December and then picks up again in January.

Ok - keep us posted.

FYI You could experiment with the Google AdSense targeting tags a bit. Perhaps you could try to influence the ads to the type of ads that seems to pay for you before.

Of course, your ads only need tweaking IF the revenue drop is not related to a traffic drop. If it's a traffic drop, that accounts for it and they don't need to be changed yet.

I think I'll experiment in February when I get back from my trip. As at the moment I know December tends to be slow since not a lot happens within my niches community. Things should pick up in January. I'm hoping google indexes my pages from the sitemap soon.

Update: Nearly a month after installing.
EdmontonPaintball.com: Adsense has picked up a bit again, now instead of in say 5 clicks i get 50 cents i get around $2, which is starting to get back to normal, but that was for today and yesterday only. Other wise still in the low .50-$1 a day
Site map URLs submitted is at 126478 as of Nov 29... but still only one page indexed (the main URL). Googlebot last successfully came to my page yesterday. According to vBSEO Sitemap Reports "SE Bots Activity Log" has nothing on it. Sitemap Downloads Log shows it is being downloaded frequently, almost every day.

VibeUnderground.com:
This is the more successful site in terms of vBSEO. Last reported there were 115 indexed pages. I asked google to remove certain pages that I had before I removed the phpfox software. They removed them quickly and now have 778 indexed pages. I am not tracking any key words or phrases at the moment.
SE Bots Activity Log is empty as well... Sitemap Downloads Log is empty ... I think I may have something in my vBSEO sitemap setup incorrectly for this site as going to the sitemap URL it opens up a 404 page where as on the othersite it asks to download the file. Though I am not too concerned with this right now as google is indexing all of my pages and users so far. I just need to add content. It's a little tough for me right now when all the content I add are podcasts.

Oh look exactly 1 year since I last posted in this thread Well it's been one year 1 month and finally google has updated! My site must not be important eh? In anycase, my forum (EdmontonPaintball.com) currently has 14,491 Threads as of right now. Google now has indexed 13,700 pages total. It took long enough but it's finally going.

VibeUnderground.com is now at 2900. Any ideas on why it has been taking so long? I do have sitemap generator.

Stupid question perhaps, but you are using this right: http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools?

As you need to verify your site there and point them to the location where google can find your sitemaps.
