Broward Forums - Case Study

All right, here we go. I am working on a new local forum for my county as I see the craigslist is pretty pathetic and there's 2 million residents here. I'm pretty sure the marketplace alone would suffice as a forum, but I decided to make it broader.

August 2nd.
Forums set up with vBulletin 3.6.8, vbseo 3.0, and vbadvanced.
Custom skin work is underway.
Initial posting has begun and I will keep populating it.
I am going after local keywords for traffic and word-of-mouth.

LOL! Guess who is first when I type in the main name of the forums? It's my case study thread on vbseo. I am actually number 3 on Google for the term so things are off to a good start. The skin is almost complete so I've held off marketing a bit. I created a myspace page and starting populating the forum with threads. The initial content will take the next two weeks or so.

The skin is done and I have started posting. Now #1 and #2 in google for "Broward forums" including a recent sushi post. I am planning to make a long list of subjects to post on. Some light traffic is coming in.
