Yes the site goes very well. I just don't understand why site nr. 2 on Google is in front of mine. Probably have to do with it being wiki-software which Google like, and that the domain was held by another rpg site before for many years. I'll just continue building content, and then go for some serious link-building after a while.

Please do not rely on *visible toolbar PageRank* to give an accurate indication of ranking for a particular keyword. General consensus from the webmaster/SEO community is to disregard it completely.

I tend to believe you can use it as indication that Google is taking notice of your site, but it is certainly not a valid indicator of your specific ranking versus your competitors within the serps. *Visible* toolbar PR is a bit of a cosmetic feature, and/or decoy.

Visible toolbar PageRank is the Google PageRank you see displayed in the *Google Toolbar* within your browser. This is on a scale from 0 to 10 pts.

However, this 0 to 10 value is *not* the precise value used in Google's ranking algorithm. Review of search results for many terms will clearly indicate that this toolbar PageRank is *not* accurately correlated with the order of results.

Low PR pages quite often outrank higher PR pages. This indicates that either *other factors* weigh more heavily in the ranking process and/or *actual PageRank* is not accurately represented by *toolbar PageRank*.

In other words, the PageRank you see indicated in your browser toolbar is largely a cosmetic indicator.

Okay, I don't use Google Toolbar. I'm sure my PR is low as the site is relatively new. I evaluate my SEO progression mainly from how high up I'm listed on Google & Yahoo! on a search for "basic roleplaying".

Added a reviews section to the site.

Week #10 stats - January 19th 2008:
Google: #5 (from 3! ), 822 pages indexes (from 476).
Yahoo!: #2, 2,134 pages indexed (from 2,079).

Agh!!! Down to places! Why Google? Why!??

Been doing some shameless linkbuilding today, sending out emails after emails to people on my link list.

Manually. I haven't heard of any software that seems safe enough to use without the risk of being viewed as spam.

Do you have any recommendations though?
