That's the kind of feedback I was looking for to see if my results are typical or not.

Now it's been 3 months.

If others are seeing results in 8 months, I'll just have to wait 5 more months.

At least my Alexa ranking is going up but I don't think that has anything to do with vbSEO. I've been using Firefox plug-in when browsing my own sites.

The thing is there is no consistency, some see results in days, weeks or months.

It could be the server, ie not very fast, could be that you are not scheduled for crawling by bots, there's just too many inconsistencies. It is working, and will do eventually, we have all the way up to page 100 on Google site search with the new URLS's.

Hopefully, your referrals should start increasing, that's when you know it is definitely working.

Not sure how amount of indexed sites or SE traffic as percentage of total traffic being valuable?

Why don't you just post the amount of traffic you have been receiving from SE's via Analytics? This would make the most sense I believe.

I don't have the exact figure at the moment.

For the past 2-3 months, the total traffic to the site went down.
Looking through the Google Analytics, the traffic through search engine went from 60% to less than 40%.
If the total traffic went up and SE traffic percentage went down, then you can say maybe the total traffic out increased the SE traffic, and thus less SE traffic percentage.
But, if the total traffic went down and SE traffic percentage went down, there is only one conclusion, SE traffic went down.
If total traffic went down and SE traffic went up, then SE traffic percentage should have gone up.

you're SUPPOSED to lose pages.

why? vbseo clears out all the duplicate crap and gives you 1 solid url to access a page.

i went from 15,000 to 1,000,000 and finally setteled around 200,000 (which is about how many topics and users i have)

you're in the in-between stage that sucks.

stick it out.

this EXACT thing you're going through is why people on DP and TA and so on bash vbseo for not working.
they expect results over-night, and it just doesn't happen.... not because of the software, but because google is slow as hell and you just have to wait on them

I don't plan on going back so I'm sticking it out. I'm not bashing vbSEO. I've only used it for 3 months and if others are taking 8 months to see the effects, I gotta wait at least that long before forming my own opinion.

I would however wait on implementing on my other forums though, until I see some tangible results before buying additional licenses.

That reasoning is rather flawed as there are many more variables. I saw results in 2 weeks, but if you're looking at the wrong numbers it may take 8 months?

Under Analytics, you can see exactly how many visitors came to your site from SE's, just pure visitors. Because that's what matters, I don't care how many pages google indexes as long as vbseo is sending more visitors to my site from SE's.

Not trying to bash you or your site, just trying to help.

if you wait now, you'll have to wait the same amount of time later.

perhaps thats your strategy, or whatever, but IMO, i wouldn't wait.

I do not get paid to promote vbseo.
i have 4 licenses and all my forums run it.
i too started with one, then i bought 3 nearly all at the same time.

it works, or i wouldn't be here.

After 3 1/2 months later, finally things are turning around and I'm now at where I was before installing the software. The sitemap submission says I have over 50,000 pages so I still have a ways to go but good to see it going the right direction for a change.

SERPs fluctuate a lot and are not an accurate indicator of improvement. You should track/compare your organic referrals instead, which at this point (and given your forum conditions) should be much higher than when you initially installed vBSEO.

Have you ever changed your URL rewrite settings or number of posts per page, or made any other drastic change?

The area around 9/17 appears to show a drastic change.
