vBSEO and Sitemap has been installed since day 1 of the site launch roughly 1 month ago. These are by far the best indexed stats of any forum I've started after a month.

Search Engine Stats:
Google: 466 indexed - Google Referred 953 Visitors
Yahoo: 103 indexed (618 inlinks) - Yahoo referred 23 visitors
MSN: (does anyone even use this to search?) 1

The site is also ranking very well for targeted key terms. Currently in top 20 of Google for many key words and phrases. Most are in the top 10.

Revenue:
Adsense: .13 daily, Sorta low, i've blocked a ton of "garbage" looking sites and ring tones that were showing up, Now i'm working on finding some more optimization tips to get a higher payday

I'll be making another report around this time with any more changes that occur. So far so good with everything.

Single most important metric when assessing an SEO effort applied over user-generated content (i.e. Forums). You may or may not rank for specific keywords you may be monitoring AND you may or may not have increased number of "indexed pages" in Google.

I want to get the stats starting for the 1st of every month from now on, so i can track the search engine referrals easier, so here is only 2 weeks worth of stats so i can start reporting at the 1st of every month.

Time Frame: Feb 17th to Feb 29th.

Google:
Indexed Pages: 836 (according to webmaster tools)
Backlinks: 89 (using this tool)
Google Sent 1,398 visitors on 456 searched phrases
Pages per visit, Amount of Time on Site, New visits were all up and my site bounce rate dropped from 80% to almost 50% for google traffic!

Yahoo
Indexed Pages: 226
Links: 939
Yahoo Sent 89 visitors for 39 searched phrases
Yahoo's bounce rate was almost 57%, new visitors, page views were about the same as google. Avg time on site was only 1.30seconds though.

MSN/Live:
Indexed Pages: 84
Links: 0
MSN Sent 12 visitors for 8 searched phrases

I'm in the top 5 for one search phrase i was targeting (madden forum), and currently bouncing around the end of page 1 for another key phrase (madden forums). Along with ranking on the first page for alot of other big traffic sending search terms.

I'll be watching this metric.

Me to, I thought it was pretty impressive for a site thats only going on 2 months old, and thats only a 12 day period of time.

vBSEO Progress Report
When Madden Forums was launched from the very first day vBSEO was installed along with sitemap generator for vBulletin. We began tracking our stats with Google Analytics around Jan. 20th 2008. The site has been sold for a little over $1k after only 3 months. Hence the early, and final progress report with vBSEO for this domain (from me anyway )

Jan. Stats are going to be small and not very effective gauage of anything. You can see the site grow from the start with traffic and search engine referrals however and the power of vBSEO and well SEO templates. Mostly the month of Jan was spent building relevant backlinks and submitting to directories.
Google sent 367 non-paid visits via 131 keywords
Yahoo sent 14 visits and MSN probably doesn't even know the site exisited yet.
Remember those stats are for 11days only, and the begining 11 days!

Feb saw a huge increase in traffic and search engine referrals.
Google sent 2,052 total visits via 618 keywords - Main searches: Madden 2009 cover, madden 2008 strategy, madden 2009, madden forums, madden 2009 release date
Yahoo sent 98 total visits via 45 keywords - Main Searches: Madden 2009 cover, madden offensive strategy, madden football 2009, 2009 madden cover, eli madden cover
AOL sent 23 total visits via 22 keywords - Main Searched: madden cover 2009, everything else is a bunch of random numbers...
Maybe the extra day in feburary this year helped!

March was another great month for search engine traffic which was our main goal when taking this client on. We did have a slight 3 day mistake where we changed templates in the middle of the month, and forgot to put our Analytics code back on forum pages. These numbers would be higher so keep that in mind. I also sold the forums for $1.1 thanks from help with vBSEO.

MSN sent 285 non-paid visits via 65 keywords - Main Searches: Madden 2009, Madden forums, Madden tips, madden, madden football 2009, cover of madden 2009
Yahoo! sent 267 non-paid visits via 65 keywords - Main Searches: Madden 2009 cover,2008 madden tips strategy, madden offensive strategies, 2009 madden cover, madden 2009

Thats a total of over six thousand search engine visits in 3 months for 1740 search phrases

Indexed pages in google is roughly 2k,Yahoo roughly 500, and MSN 296.

Thanks to vBSEO for driving the ever improtant organic traffic to the site, and I can't wait to start my next project with vbSEO!

We expect even more of this with each passing month.
