    Question xCache Makes Invalid Forum Specified

    I installed xCache yesterday on my server and turned it on on three of my forums to test it...but, now sometimes I get INVALID FORUM SPECIFIED on a couple forums. Only at times though, weird. Anyone know WHY? I had to turn xCache off now in vbSEO CP...

    I had a similar experience with xcache and the vbulletin datastore: question about xcache

    I'm not sure if it's related, but you can only use vB's datastore in xcache for one forum, otherwise all the forums get confused with the information in the cache.
    I'm using vbSEO for my precious metals forum.

    You need to define a datastore prefix via config.php

    Check the following setting within config.php

    PHP Code:
        // ******** DATASTORE PREFIX ******
        // If you are using a PHP Caching system (APC, XCache, eAccelerator) with more
        // than one set of forums installed on your host, you *may* need to use a prefix
        // so that they do not try to use the same variable within the cache.
        // This works in a similar manner to the database table prefix.
    // $config['Datastore']['prefix'] = '';
