Hello,

please try to increase xcache.var_size setting in xcache configuration (currently it's set to 0).

I could ask my host to do it, but if you know how to edit it through ssh, do you know the commands so I can do it myself? and what would you suggest it being set to?

You can search for "xcache.var_size" in your /usr/local/Zend/etc/php.ini file and set its value to 4M.

Okay thanks. it is now working. hopefully this will bring my server load/lag down, as my server load is around 10 10 10 non stop this past 2 days.

Any other tips on how to better optimize xcache on the server would be very much appreciated, as my server is not going to well right now.

What is your server specs , your software specs , 15 minute cookie timeout online user number etc... Optimizing depends on different things.

Thanks, for now I will leave it. the server load is good again today after configuring xcache yesterday and turning on xcache in vbseocp. the server load had dropped from 10 to 1 I am monitoring how it is going, and hopefully it will now stay around this level.

Thanks.

Changed my mind, server load is really high again, it is back up at around the 10's

here is my server specs: Server Optimisation Request - vBulletin Community Forum

I posted here in the vb server configuration section for help on this as well: xcache configuration help needed - vBulletin Community Forum

I am just hoping some of you knowledgeable people can take a look and help me out as well. Thanks.
