When i was conducting an analysis of my page through an internet spider i recieved the following information (amongst other, expected, things.)

X-Processed-By:·vBSEO·2.0GOLD·(http://www.vbseo.com)

I just wondered what exactly this means?

i saw the same while i was checking the http headers of my custom error page ..

Hi Michael,

we are planning to provide a new service that will help our customers to track their indexing in the SE's. This reporting tool will spider the forums pages and compare this content to the number of serps found for the site and it's required to find the version of vBSEO used by the site. The mentioned http header will be used for this.

Doesn't this go against the Search Engines' TOS?? I think I would rather not have my forums pages tracked. Though there are bigger fish to fry, google and it's likes can certainly see who is querying their db's through outside means and can see which url's are being queried. Though I doubt you would get into any trouble, I would want to stand on the safe-room for this one.

By stating "the number of serps found for the site", we mean only "officially" made queries using Google's API (which is not against Google's TOS, of course

) and so I really don't see why this might be a problem. Anyway, it will be up to vBSEO user to use this new service or not

I was just about to ask if this was going to be an optional service or not.
Thanks for the update, will this be released with the new vB SEO 2.1 build?
