Question Why are usernames with spaces seperated with a + instead of a -

Usernames and social groups that consist of two words are being rewritten by vbseo as:

word1+word2

How do I make it so instead they show up as:

word-word2

I'm running vbseo on other forums, same settings, and its doing word1-word2 so how do I remove that + and replace it with a dash?

FYI - The threads are being rewritten with a - spacer just fine.
