White page for specific member(profile) only using firefox on linux

Hi folks,

I need a hand understanding why some specific member pages result in a white page. I'm on Linux Ubuntu and three member pages/profiles give out a white page. If I view the profile using Chrome I see them just fine.

Now you might think, oh that's a browser issue. It isn't.

I disabled VBSEO and all profile pages showed in full instantly when not using VBSEO. If I re-enable VBSEO, the same member/profile pages become inaccessible again (white page, no source, no error code, etc.)

All others work flawlessly (I've not checked every single member, but the other's I've frequented did) and for a long time it was just percy's account that had this issue, in the last day or so my account (marx) has also got it.

As I said, viewing it through chrome seems to work ok.

I'm having this same problem and have been told it's because of vBSEO

both of these load fine for me in firefox.

What i do notice is that both have a custom profile style.

The issue is likely related to that. the extra styling simply adds *just* enough memory usage to make it reach the memory_limit.

check your error_log for entries. You probably have to increase this setting, or disable custom profiles.

I'm not experiencing a white page.

For me it just shows orange (skin's color) though the other tabs are fine. I'm not using a custom profile style like the guy with the problem

As I said, with VBSEO disabled - it works flawlessly. Percy's profile is not customized, but mine (marx) is.

ETA: Just noted that it doesn't display to members but does display to guests. However, once VBSEO is disabled it displays to all (members & guests). I shall, nonetheless, investigate the error log.

As far as I understand, your issue is related to "Friends" tab?. If so, please check this thread for a fix:

As guest we aren't able to reproduce the issue you mention. So please open a support ticket with AdminCP/vBSEO CP login details for troubleshooting.
