Hi - when downloading and checking random pages in the sitemap, Google flags pages with the * symbol as;

"301 (Moved permanently)"

and

"URLs not followed When we tested a sample of the URLs from your Sitemap, we found that some URLs were not accessible to Googlebot because they contained too many redirects. Please change the URLs in your Sitemap that redirect and replace them with the destination URL (the redirect target). All valid URLs will still be submitted."

Is this a problem? How can a stop this symbol being used in urls?

Hi - I already have those options selected. The problem URL is a rewritten one, not an old one. This is the URL it is having issue with (and any others with the * symbol)

By the way, I have retitled that page and removed the * sign in order to fix this
