    Hi Mark,

A part of the policy for the vBulletin support team is to ensure that any other plugins you have on your forum are not contributing to the error.

Except when you report a common error that they are aware of within vBulletin, they like to have plugins removed.

When the problem disappears with the plugins removed, then they can be almost entirely certain that the problem is NOT related to the vBulletin forum software itself.

Whenever there is an indication that it could be a vBSEO related issue, it is a good idea to check with us first. We may be aware and have a solution available.

However, if absolutely necessary, you can remove vBSEO to facilitate vBulletin support team troubleshooting. Do what you can to absolutely MINIMIZE UN-INSTALLED TIME so that the crawlers do not discover your forum in an altered state.

Tip: Check to see if the bots are actively crawling your site at the present time. If they are, it is probably best to wait until this activity declines before considering a temporary removal of vBSEO.

    Hi Joe
I did not get your PM and I am not prepared to do all of this myself; it is just not worth the curry.

a blog was never needed with vbulletin forum (was it ?) vbulletin itself is a very powerful tool compared to wordpress or any other commercial or free CMS/forum script available in market today, if one knows how to use the same effectively !!!!

one thing i can think of....

    templates.

vbblog requires 3.6.8 because they added new template hooks into the postbit (where those blog count thinggess show up).

did you revert your templates when you upgraded?

your post bit_legacy template should look like this:

    Code:
    <if condition="$post['rank']"><div class="smallfont">$post[rank]</div></if>
                $template_hook[postbit_userinfo_left]
if you don't have that hook, the blog count won't show.

and, a big F/U again to vBulletin Support.

    hate them.

But I managed to get the blog working.

Now, can anyone help me with the next problem!!

I see on vsbeo you have lovely blog URL's, e.g.
    vBulletin SEO Forums - whitemike

    I have awful blog URL's, e.g.
My second blog - Asian Travel Forums & Ethos

How do I get lovely URL's?

    RSVP
    Mark
