vBSEO + Zoints Profile Redirect = Non visble Forum Profile

    Hey again guys,

I have been lucky enough to be accepted into the pre-Public Release of Zoints.

Much too many details to go into here

The problem I am having is the Profile Redirect.

It should have ?nozoints=1 at the end. vBSEO rewrites the URL regardless of what is at the end, it appears.

I don't want to disable rewriting of member profiles, as
    Code:
    http://www.nzboards.com/forums/members/kall/?nozoints=1
    will work.
    Code:
    http://www.nzboards.com/forums/members/kall/
takes you to the redirection page, but it redirects to the Zoints one. Clicking on the 'Show your NZBoards Profile' link results in the same redirection.

I have a support thread open at the zoints forums. They have advised me to ask here.

    Hello Ace,

I'm not quite sure if I undertood correctly - do you mean that your zoints profile link is rewritten as specified in 2nd example, while it should be like in the 1st one? If so, what is the original (not rewritten) link in this case?

I know.. it's done my head in, so my explanation isn't really good.

What I think is happening: The new Redirect takes over at the NORMAL member.php (or vBSEOed version - /members/membername/) and gives you the option of clicking a new link (the normal link with ?nozoints=1 appended) to view the normal profile.

vBSEO appears to be taking the url and stripping the ?nozoints=1 from it.

Could you please let me know the URL where the link to member profile is located as you described?

It is still not very clear to me

Do you mean that "View Profile" link on that page should not be redirected to zoints? In this case, you should modify the link in template to something like:
    Code:
    member.php?u=$userid&nozoints=1

That is what the current link is written as.

vBSEO rewrites it and strips the &nozoints=1 part.

    Ok, now I see!
There will be a workaround implemented in the next vBSEO build for nozoints profile links.
