VBSEO and Zoints

If you are using Zoints and rewriting your member URL's, there is a compatibility issue if you have the "profile redirect" setting turned off, as most will. vBseo is making changes on their end and will have this implemented in the next release. Until then, here are the changes that need to be made in two zoints templates to allow you to leave the profile redirect turned off.

Keep in mind, you will not need to make these changes after the next vbseo update.

Thanks to Oleg for finding this temporary workaround.

----------------------------------------------

modify both of the following templates

zointsprofile_linkbox and zointsprofile_profile templates:

Find:
Code:
dozoints=1
and ADD RIGHT AFTER THAT:
Quote:
&do=yes
NOTE - There will be two instances of dozoints=1 in the template "zpointsprofile_linkbox", be sure to make the changes in both places.

I have made this modification on two forums and it works properly with each. Without this modification, you will need to either turn off member URL rewrites, or set zoints do redirect member profiles automatically to Zoints.

I hope this helps someone.

I cant see these templates. I have the same problem with vbseo re-writing the member profile names. The link works but in the forum the link is http://www.mysite.com/member/me but the zoints is in /z/me or something. Not sure if i need to change but i think i do for seo?
