WEB HOSTING FORUMS: (this is the link on my site that is lighter blue) the link should take the user to that fourm with the child forums under it but it just stays on the home page.

    website is http:www.freshosts.co.uk

    Hello James ,

This is a setting in vBSEO. You can disable it from vBSEO Control Panel ( vbseocp.php ) . The setting name is Direct Category Links , if you don't like it you can disable it.

I disabled the direct category links option...

How long does it take for it to kick on?

I ask because I was getting the same problem. I turned it off... but I still get this type of link, as if it is is still on. I can turn OFF the while vbSEO system and the system all works perfect again. I've cheked the other options to see if anything else might be doing it... but I can't see an option that claims it would.

    Any ideas?

    D.

    Hello,

it should take effect immediately. Please check your vbseocp again to make sure that setting has been saved correctly.

    Well,

When I turn off the SEO system everything works. When I turn it on... it flips back to the Direct Category links when people try to get around the forums. It seems to have the same effect no matter the setting I put into that section of the control system.

Is there some other place I should be looking? I did a full un-install, then re-installed just to make sure... double checked that all files were put up via binary... tripled checked all the install directions... but... I can't seem to see where I am going wrong. It refuses to NOT be on the Direct Category links style on the board when the system is turned on.

Any other ideas I might try?

Please open a support ticket with vbseocp password to check that.

    Cool,

Done as of yesterday morning... how long does it take, usually, to get a response?

    Question

It has my 'question number' I put into the Support Ticket system as:

    7137-QEDH-6763

Now, maybe I am not in the correct place to start a 'real' ticket. But, the link in my vB Control Panel for vbSEO had the link to where I submitted it...

Or, is there a different place I should be going to?

    Talking

    Ok,

I think I found the right place now that I realized I must have put in the question in the wrong place...

So, it should be there now.
