VBSEO Sitemap

Hi,

I have installed sitemap and uploaded the reports (sitemap_index.xml.gz) to my root server.

When I go to the Google Webmaster tools and click on "Diagnose" then I find under "web crawl errors" 20 links which are not found.

How can I remove them so that these errors do not appear anymore?

I have attached a screenshot of Google Webmaster tool and the errors

Hello,

first of all, you should *not* move sitemap_index.xml.gz file to the forums root - it should work automatically using the mod_rewrite rule in your .htaccess file.

The "web crawl" errors are not related to sitemaps (as you can see, they reside in a separate "Tab" in webmaster account interface). You should check the list of "not found" pages to resolve the issue.

Thank you for your reply. What do you mean with the mod_rewrite tool? How can I check if it works automatically? The problem with the not found pages is that I dont know how to remove them. When I click on them there is just an error message appearing. Is there an option to copy this list and put it anzwhere is VBSEO so that they are not included the next time the sitemap is generated?

If you have vBSEO running correctly, you don't have to do anything else.
