Question vBSEO - security token was missing ?

Well, i finnally purchased vBSEO. After install my website crashed a few times... reinstalled... now, almost every time i try to do something (like editing profiles), i get this error: "Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing. If this occurred unexpectedly, please inform the administrator and describe the action you performed before you received this error."

What in the world is this, and how can i fix it ? It was running perfect before :(

vbseo doesn't use security tokens. Your problem exists from an incompatible mod designed for 3.6.8 and lower on 3.6.9 or higher.

disable your plugins until you find which one is causing it

Well, you're probably right. But how can you explain the website works without vBSEO and gives me that error when i enable vBSEO plugin ?

Also, i found a lot of threads like this one: Your submission could not be processed because a security token was missing or mismat - vBulletin Community Forum with simple conclusions like Elenna did: "It looks like all three of you are using vbseo... Obviously I'm not a support person, but it might check there".

So, i am just wondering if buying vBSEO was a good choice (and i was considering branding free also)...

i'm sure someone would have reported it by now... i'm here all day everyday (As you can see by my post count )

this error occurs when there's a form, and it doesn't have the <input > for the security token.

Since vbseo doesn't create or alter form elements, it's not related.

it's either a mod, or your skin. Did you revert all your templates?

By how you are describing it, it seems like a template issue (especially since it is happening on the changing of a profile field). Does it work fine on the default style that vbulletin provides you with?

try to do teh same thing that is giving you the error on the default vb skin and see if it still throws that error.

If it does it on the default skin, then it is a plugin.

disable all your plugins, and then turn on 1 at a time until it breaks. then you can tell which one it is, and disabled it for good/update to a new version/ follow the link to .org from the link i provided above about how to add the token.
