Question vBSEO not working for my index.php ?

Hello there !

First, i would like to vBSEO team for such a great addon.
Second, i have a big big problem, with a big big question:

vBSEO for me is doing very bad, taking my forum in front of my homepage. I mean, i can hardly see my homepage on google. And as this is a news website, i want my frontpage to be in "front" as it should.

I am using vBadvanced, and maybe that's the culprit in there. I have it installed not in the /forum folder, but in my root, while vBulletin is in the /forum folder. Almost every search i do, is generated under /forum folder. Nothing from my root, my index.php.

Can you please help me figure out how to optimise it so that the homepage to become more important ? Thank you in advance.

Ah, btw, the website i am talking about is www.consolegames.ro
Thx again !

Do you have the vba sitemap module also? There is a file in the addons folder for it.

If anything, this is a testament that vbseo works awesome! so much so that it outranks your home page
While 'bad' in a sense, this is great news... for your forums. Now, you just need to work on getting vba wokring better with more keywords, structured headings and semantic markup, and less links to useless things (for bots)

You would add this into your sitemap settings at the bottom: vbseo_sm_vba.php

Thank you. I've added the vbseo_sm_vba.php in my Addon Generator Modules and i also deactivated the setting "Force Forum Root as Homepage?". Then i defined the homepage aliases like this:

www.consolegames.ro/
www.consolegames.ro/forum/
www.consolegames.ro/forum/index.php

I hope it's ok, right ?
