Question vbSEO Is Not Working For Me

    Hi,

I had vbSEO on another domain before and it worked fine for ages. I decided to transfer the license to a new domain and so far so good. I installed vbSEO and everything went smoothly, however, this time it's not working. My pages wont load. Here's the link to my website: Mercadotecnia Del Internet

As you can see, the home page loads, but anything else that has URL rewrite doesn't work. I am working this on my own server which the OS is Windows 22003 Server and I am using the free version of ISAPI Rewrite 3. I used the isapi rewrite rules as suggested by tech, isapi_rewrite.txt

Rewrite works as can be seen by the sticky topic at the top of this forum. Here's that test on my server:
    Google

The custom doc path is defined as suggested by tech support.

Can anyone help me out? I want to get this working ASAP!

    Thank you,
    Oscar

Did you re-start IIS after applying the rules?

    Hi Brian,

Yes I did restart IIS. After that didn't work out, I restarted the server as well.

    Thank you,
    Oscar

To confirm, you are running iis6 on the 2003 box, correct?

do you have multiple sites on this box? if so, you should use the rules in the isapai__rewrite2 file that specify per-domain.

Yes, it is IIS6 with 2003 on the box. Give me a minutes to use isapi_rewrite2 and see what happens.

Alright, I changed the rules to the ones in isapi_rewrite2 and same result. These are the rules:

    Code:

    # When hosting multiple sites on the same server, it is
    # recommended to limit the rewrite rules to the domain(s)
    # where vBSEO is installed. Enable (remove '#' at the beginning
    # to activate) the following rule and replace 'yourdomain.com'
    # with your actual installation domain name.
    #RewriteCond Host: (?:www\.)?mercadotecniadelinternet.com
    RewriteRule ^/forums/((urllist|sitemap).*\.(xml|txt)(\.gz)?)$ /forums/vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$1 [L]
    #RewriteCond Host: (?:www\.)?mercadotecniadelinternet.com
    RewriteCond URL ^/forums/(?!avatars|attachments|iconimages|members|groups).*
    RewriteRule ^([^\?]*\.(?:gif|swf.*|jpg|png|css|xml|js|htm|txt|zip)(?:\?(.*))?)$ $1 [I,L]
    #RewriteCond Host: (?:www\.)?mercadotecniadelinternet.com
    RewriteCond URL ^/forums/(?!admincp/|modcp/|clientscript/|cpstyles/|images/|search\.php).*
    RewriteRule ^/forums/(.+?)(?:\?(.*))?$ /forums/vbseo.php?vbseourl=$1(?2&$2) [L]
    Help? :(

try removing the # sign (comment) on the lines with your domain in them.

    #RewriteCond Host: (?:www\.)?mercadotecniadelinternet.com
    to
    RewriteCond Host: (?:www\.)?mercadotecniadelinternet.com

We're having the same issue. How did you fix it as I can see it's all working on your site...

This user's problem was solved via ticket. Are you also on IIS? if so, do you have isapi installed?

Note: you will get faster reposes from the ticket system on issues like this.

    Hi Brian,

Yes we're on IIS 6 and running ISAPI. We've currently got a ticket open but not having alot of success.

We've added the isapi rules that came with the initial install of vbseo but we're still getting the "Page not found" error from the vbseo.php file, even though the querystring is being populated correctly.
