VBseo is "just a wrapper" - Is this an excuse?

Every time I suffer from high load being caused by my forum, I see "vbseo.php" is to blame. So, I look here and each time I see the reason being "vbseo.php is just a wrapper" - as all processes run through vbseo.php.

Okay, that's fine - but why then does my site suffer when vbseo is enabled?

According to pingdom tools, my site loads in 2.96 seconds when VBseo is turned OFF. This is with no caching, no xcache, no optimization.

I immediately turn VBseo back on. Load time: 12.14 seconds!

I turn it off: 3.14 seconds

I turn it on: 14.11 seconds

I turn it off: 2.08 seconds

Can someone please explain this? I have 16gb of RAM and a X3460 CPU. My site should load FASTER with vbseo on as I'm using a CDN, minify options and have XCache enabled.

Every php file is processed through vbseo.php file to achieve correct link hierachy. If your server is already overloaded/not optimized mod_rewrite will cause issues on your server. It is not vBSEO that is causing the issues , it is highly possible an overload. You also seem to be using vBEnterprise Translator on your forum , please note that vBET changes how vBSEO is functioned. If you want further assistance on this issue please uninstall vBET , remove all file changes you applied to vBSEO and .htaccess , and create a ticket so we can suggest optimizations on your server. If your server is already overloaded , your site will not run faster with CDN or xCache.

I checked your site also , your page loads extremely slow for me and it looks like you don't have vBSEO enabled right now.
