another example of your practice. What does vbpager has to do with you for you to claim it? And there are dozens more such pages!!!

Come to think of it, you are actually imposing your rule on someone else's intellectual property, and I really would love a refund.

I'm not familiar with that pager product, but it looks like there are member names which link to their profiles, and is thus re-written.
If they don't link to their profile, or any vbulletin page for that matter,
add /vbpager.php to your ignore vbseo rewrite list.

This is exactly why that option exists.

Saying the opposite should be default, is wrong. So far, out of thousands of customer installations of the product, you are the first to think this should be how its done.

Why? because that would only benefit you. I have 0 non-vb pages on my site. Why should i have to manually add in all the pages i want to re-write, when someone who added in MODS gets the default?

It doesn't make remote sense.

so,
-add your /vbpager.php into the stop rewrite
-vbadvaced is rewrittten because it has links to your board all over it, so you have to deal with it,
-and kill your attitude, because no one likes to help people who have an attitude. I understand you're frustrated, but there's no sense in getting worked up over it, especially when the options are there to bypass the pages you wish from being re-written.

when you click on members's name it allows you to send a pager to the member that's all. Profile is not involved at all.

You are not Jelsoft.

I know that there is an option for that. What I am saying I should not have to exclude half of my site which is vbulletin powered with custom pages and has nothing to do with vbseo. It would have been much simpler for you to recognize where vbseo is in action and include that copyright. The other way around makes you behave as if you were Jelsoft.

And as far as my attitude is concerned, I am upset because I can't get this thing to work except for forums pages.

It's very easy to get rid of copyrights without breaking license. If I can't get what I paid for, I will do it, and will go to court if I have to.

Before buying, Juan and Oleg were very nice. Oleg is still nice. Now that I purchased I have to deal with the likes of you? Hell no!

Hi Lionel

Although I can see your point, having a go at another member who is trying to help you is not big and its not clever. Brian is not associated officially with vBSEO and is taking his own time to try and help you out.

Have you actually read the advice to add the pages to be excluded and tried it to see if it sorts your problem out? I think you may be pleasantly surprised.

Thanks gedsta and sorry Brian. I am really p***ed. Like I said I know about adding in the exclude pages. My site is 26 GIGS of information with tons of non vBulletin related custom pages (I use vBulletin for member authentication only all over). And it is really annoying having to put dozens of pages in the exclude whereas it would have been more simple and legal for vbseo to have recognize it's own pages.

Since I installed this thing yesterday, all I am able to do is to rewrite forums pages (showthread) and members profiles. All custom rules found in forums do not work for me, whether it's vbadvanced or vbalinks. Before purchasing they made it sound it was a matter of just importing a product and all vBulletin powered pages will be fine. Yeah, they are fine only with copyrights.

Again there are no "vBSEO" pages. vBSEO rewrites vBulletin pages. Your pages are vBulletin pages. If you don't want them to be rewritten, you will need to add them to the exclusion list.

And, installing and having vBSEO *is* as easy as importing a product and uploading files. As you can see, it is working fine on your site. How you choose to customize the installation is up to you.

I'm am closing this topic since there is nothing else to discuss, and you are only being abusive to other vBSEO customers.

Note to all:

Any page that has vBulletin dynamic URL formats on it must be rewritten by vBSEO in order to ensure that the links are rewritten.

If not, you will not have an optimal SEO situation.

Pages processed by vBSEO have the vBSEO copyright included.

Any page that you do not want to have the copyright notice can be excluded within our vBSEO Control Panel. However, this will disable vBSEO processing - which is not likely a desired outcome.
