How can I disable vbSEO? I tried turning off the plugin, but that didn't seem to work. I've tried everything to get this to work, but frankly, if I have to make a choice between vbSEO and Mobile Suite, I'll take Mobile Suite and discontinue my subscription to vbSEO.

There are no issues with the mobile suite and 3.6, so you must be missing something.

    What is your htaccess content?

I'm running 4.1.3 The contents of my .htaccess file are:

    # Comment the following line (add '#' at the beginning)
    # to disable mod_rewrite functions.
    # Please note: you still need to disable the hack in
    # the vBSEO control panel to stop url rewrites.
    RewriteEngine On

    # Some servers require the Rewritebase directive to be
    # enabled (remove '#' at the beginning to activate)
    # Please note: when enabled, you must include the path
    # to your root vB folder (i.e. RewriteBase /forums/)
    #RewriteBase /

    #RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.yourdomain\.com
    #RewriteRule (.*) http://www.yourdomain.com/forums/$1 [L,R=301]

    RewriteRule ^((urllist|sitemap_).*\.(xml|txt)(\.gz)?)$ vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$1 [L]

    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !(admincp/|modcp/|cron|api\.php)
    RewriteRule ^((archive/)?(.*\.php(/.*)?))$ vbseo.php [L,QSA]

    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !/(admincp|modcp|clientscript|cpstyles|images)/
    RewriteRule ^(.+)$ vbseo.php [L,QSA]

will this night im working in it
thank you Steve Machol from Support

To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version and that none show 'File does not contain expected contents':

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

[Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]

Next, disable all products (except vB Blog, vB CMS and Skimlinks if you have them.)

Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> Disable ONLY FOR FORUM USER NOT FOR SITE USER

Then manually uncheck all plugins that are not for 'vBulletin Blog' and vBulletin CMS' here:

Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Plugin Manager

You must do BOTH of those steps in order to disable all non vBulletin Modifications.

Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it.

I simply find it unsat that vbseo doesn't work with the mobile vB....

There is a solution, but a LONG one. That would be to edit every plugin.

    if (!VB_API) {
    plugin content }
There's a LOT of plugins though, and will take some time!

Whats the latest regarding Mobile and vBSEO?

I had a look here as I were planning to buy Mobile soon, and would like to know if anyone solved this problem without disabling vBSEO?

I would highly suggest just running an app that works, like forumrunner or tapatalk.

You know, I've been using vbseo for a very long time (beta tester) with multiple sites and have been pretty happy/loyal.. It's disappointing comments like these that are starting to become more common as vbseo development slows down and doesn't keep up with Vbulletin. In other threads staff are blaming vbulletin poor coding (css), saying they don't have things to test on their own, etc. VBSEO really NEEDS to work with the new mobile APP and mobile style properly out of the box. The vb's mobile app has been out for a VERY long time now. Please give us an update as to when it will work out of the box, or with a more realistic fix other than editing every single plugin. Also, there are lots of items people are waiting for with regards to the "likes" system scheduled for 3.6.1, but some of those items have been 'planned' for over 6 months with no status change to "working on", and with no sign that 3.6.1 is coming anytime soon.

    -Simply a concerned customer

at the same time they can't support something that is beta (or beta quality, constantly changing).

I do agree that it's time for an updated release though.

You know what? I just got done reading all about the mobile suite fiasco at vbulletin.. They apparently haven't released an update for 7 months. SO, I RETRACT MY PREVIOUS POST (apologies), with the exception that vbseo should have an update with some of the new likes features for 3.61 and fixes for the mobile style (not mobile app -- until vb gets off their butt).

    Thanks

Simply put, we can't fix what we didn't break. If the core app is 'broken', our add-on won't function properly with the alloted code. We can't release code fixes for vBulletin. It is up to them to release quality code.
