Is there any chance someone can investigate this problem because it looks like I'm going to have to disable vbseo ad I don't want to do that.

I think I know what it might be, but want verification and guidance.

Thanks.

vbseo is really messing up by board.

It causes a high server load and also, when I disable vbseo to make the server load come down a bit, it screws up my forum's graphics and skin.

What's the deal with this product?

Any suggestions aside from the usual "get a better server" excuse that everyone chants?

Thanks.

Yes my server is optimized.
I have templates compressed and cached.
I have some parts of vbulletin's javascript optimized as well.

I'm on a shared server wit a dedicated Ip.

My hosting company told me the problem and it is being caused by vbseo and a few cron jobs.

In order to remedy this, I had to disable a few "unnecessary cron job" default features in vbulletin.

Also, had to disable a few features on vbseo.

This freaking product!!!!

Once I performed the following the tasks that I did, including disabling some aspects of vbseo, my forum's server load dropped to below average levels.

Word to the wise, vbulletin is server intensive and coupled with vbseo, it is more server intensive.

I'll be updating this crap on my board for others to read.

In reality, a lot of vbulletin default features are unnecessary and create useless cron jobs.

Hi,
I am sure that vBseo staff will help you solve this problem.

Did you try opening support ticket with them and ask them for help?

How big is your forum?
Probably not that big since it is running on shared hosting?

Honestly as i mentioned in my first post on this topic i never noticed any bigger load on my server since i installed vbseo.

I am curently using
Apache 2.2.6
Mysql 5.027
PHP 5.2.4
Zend optimizer

I'm not sure what your definition of "big" is, but I've got over 100k posts.

Also, my board is rather large in terms of the topics under discussion.

Secondly, I'm really glad your board is doing fine since vbseo has been installed.

But your comments are pretty much useless.

Right about now, I'm feeling as if vbseo is one of those many internet scam products better known with the following phrase,

"If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."

You seem to be a lil quick to jump the gun. Maybe you need to switch hosting companies. I know when I had really high loads from vBSEO, it was due to a poorly configured script that my hosting company set up. Once it was properly configured, things dramatically dropped.

Once the unencrypted version comes out, I'm sure there will be an even bigger performance boost.
