vbseo causes higly cpu usage, something to fix?

In last week I had several problem with my forum: the server (a dedicated Dual-Core 3040 Xeon (Conroe) with 4096mb ram) sometimes goes slowly, with an high cpu usage. This is the reply of the trouble ticket:

The server is running, however the issue is that your vbseo plugin is taking up a lot of server load and process space:

    [root@host ~]# ps auxfw|grep vbseo

    baltazar 8779 0.0 0.4 35152 17652 ? S 01:55 0:03 | \_ /usr/bin/php /home/../public_html/vbseo.php

    baltazar 8098 0.0 0.3 34560 13500 ? S 01:48 0:03 | \_ /usr/bin/php /home/../public_html/vbseo.php

    ......

This is probably the source of the high load, I recommend looking into that and seeing what you can do to optimize or if necessary remove it as it's causing a consistantly high load. For the moment I've killed the hung versions of this (they hang for as much as 2 hours) but I recommend looking into it as it will probably happen again.
    Anyone could help me? Thanks
