Angry VB SEO Has now crashed my site

Excellent. Just what I wanted.

So uploaded the crawlability xml file via the plugin manager and kaboom... 6 months of work at a halt. Not cool. I am pretty pissed off now. Not as easy as I thought it could be. Should I have just paid network solution to SEO this site for me?

Anyone run into the issue before....

Hi,

Please try re-uploading the vBSEO files, ensuring your FTP client is forced to use BINARY (not ASCII) mode.

It looks like you haven't completed the installations steps as your vbseocp is currently unpassworded.

Make sure to complete all of the installation steps.

Okay. Very good. MUCH happier. I would suggest putting this in the install directions that VBSEO "may" make site non-functional during install. I would have not done this during peak hours if I would have known it brought down the site.

The help is GREATLY appareciated. Especially the last post, being that I was unaware that VBSeo had to be fully setup NOT to bring the site down.

Thanks Again.

OK as a novice the instructions seem straight forward, but one thing I do not understand. How do you CHMOD 666 the file?

I can't begin to imagine why someone would come on here and post, not to mention in a very angry tone, about VBSEO not working when they have failed to fully install the product.

Blows my mind.

If you have SSH access chmod 666 filename , but most ftp clients right click the file name and you can choose chmod from that menu.

Tries right click nothing resembles 'CHMOD'.

Done all the other but get 'internal server error 500' is this because of the CHMOD?

It the one that came with the download, I uploaded the txt file and renamed it and seems to work reasonably, the only problem I have now is that all but the home page link to a .404 error page.
