Question "...valid URL for the thread" and some rewrite problems

    Hi.

I have installed vBSEO 3.2.0 and I'm still getting error:
You have not specified a valid URL for the thread that you want to merge. Please check that the URL includes a valid threadid, "t=xxx" or postid, "p=xxx" (where xxx is a number), and is not a redirect.

When I want to merge threads. Also some links are not rewrited, after created thread link is like forum/showthread.php?p=xxx . But the same link from thread list is correct like forum/xxx-topic.html

I don't have any more ideas what to do with it ...

Are you using a preset re-write?

If you aren't, chances are there's some conflict or an invalid entry in the url settings.

Do you mean settings for forum url global format? If yes, I have set " Current Preset: 001 - Hierarchic .html type URLs with content relevant forums and threads "

If no, please explain meaning of "preset re-write" becouse I think I don't understand it correctly.

    Thanks for quick reply

Yes I have default vBSEO .htaccess. Moybe that info will be helpfull but we use nginx on two servers and lighttpd on next two servers and load balancer module with cache not supported by vBSEO. This cache is not a Xcache or something similar, what I know is private solution one of ours programist and is basing on files.

In case of nginx and lighttpd you should use special rewrite rules (included in vBSEO package), NOT .htaccess file.

I've deleted .htaccess file from the server. I know that there are special rewrite rules. Should I paste it to Custom rewrite rules in vBSEO CP ? Or only in server configuration?

It should be defined in web server configuration files (not vBSEO CP).
