v3.1.0 huge load problems

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced huge load issues with vBSEO 3.1.0?

I've had 3.0.0 running since its release with no issues, since updating to 3.1.0 vbseo.php has maxed the server out to such a point that i had to request the datacentre reboot the server as all services had failed due to load. I'm not talking cpu loads of 3 or 4, but 150+!!! All the logs show are pages and pages of vbseo.php being accessed at point of failure.

I've tried disabling vbseo in admin panel which has no effect, removing .htaccess stops the load instantly. I notice that even when vbseo is disabled, the .htaccess still pushes everything through that vbseo.php page.

Info: I'm running Apache 2.2.6 with PHP 5.2.5, vB 3.6.9 with vbblog. I downgraded to 3.0.0 again and the load has been fine ever since. I dont think it's vbblog causing the issue as I only installed that yesterday, the load issues have been happening since installing 3.1.0 a couple of weeks back. The forum usually has 100 visitors on at any one time.

Hi,

Yes, I did that as soon as I upgraded. Would that cause server overload though?

It might be only the problem if it's NOT displayed in green. Could you please open a support ticket with FTP/admincp access for troubleshooting? Basically, vBSEO3.1.0 should perform better than 3.0.0.

Welcome to the club. Horrible performance on 3.1 for us also. Even with most options disabled. Not much help available since 3.1 is "believed" to be faster than 3.0. I wouldn't mind downgrading but can't install ioncube or zend on our setup again.

Best of luck. PM me if you do find a resolution.
