using "print" at the end of a new thread

I had a member create a new thread today with the word "print" at the end of the thread description as in "what is a picture print"

When I entered the forum, clicked to read "what is a picture print" it took me to the printable version of the thread. I then changed "what is a picture print" to "what is a picture mark" and all worked fine again.

I'm not sure if this is a VBSEO issue or a vBulletin issue, as I have never experienced it in the past 9 years.

I realize I'm not very good at this, but your help would be appericated.

It's because of the default URL format for Print Threads.

You can disable rewrites for print threads and disable printthread.php via robots.txt (A lot of people do it this way, since there's no need for search engines to index the printable versions of your threads.)

Or, you can edit the URL format for print threads. Take the -print off the end, and put print- in front of the thread ID. (Do it for all the print thread URL formats; They must all be consistent.)

My concern may not be an issue with search bots, or maybe so.

My concern is thread topics. How do I make the -print and print print- changes?

Do I do that via the vBSEO control panel? If so, what do I change.

    Thank you in advance!

Yes, exactly. In your vBSEO control panel go to the Printthread URL Format section and use the Custom URL entry field.

You can copy the default format shown above the input field, then just take the -print off the end and add print- in front of the [thread_id] field.

    Like this:

    [forum_title]/print-[thread_id]-[thread_title].html

Then for the multi-page Printthread URL:

    [forum_title]/print-[thread_id]-[thread_title]-[thread_page].html

Now the insane thing is i search in firefox for printthread and get no hits, yet if i select all text on my vbseocp page, pste it into notepad, then search on "Printthread" i see the setting! I have gone through my vbseocp (RC8) line by line and see no setting for this, please help! :(
