Usernames are affected and replaced by the acronym expansion

I've noticed that some of my users having for example "pr" in their usernames experienced real problems with them, the pr for example got replaced with Page Ranking, so for example a user called "Pr[e]go" got completely renamed everywhere to "Page Ranking[e]go"

    Hello,

you should disable "Apply Acronym Expansion to all text?" option in vbseocp to stop this.

Is that a bug? I can't imagine a reason why this should be useful.

Acronym expansion is not applied to member profile URLs. Full text replacements are applied to the whole html output.

I experienced problems with disabling this, if I turn that off it doesn't rewrite thread urls made for example with [thread=threadid]linktitle[/thread], also it doesn't replace the links to the quoted posts in quotes anymore then (the links of that small icon right of the username leading to the original post in every quote made since vBulletin 3.6).

So I had to turn it back on, I've removed the pr -> Page Ranking acronym replacement for now since I can imagine how annoying this can be for users with Pr in their names.

    Hello Gerrit,

do you mean that when you disable "Apply Acronym Expansion to all text?" option, the thread URLs are not rewritten? These features should not be connected at all.
Could you please give more details?

Seemed to be so yesterday, I've now updated to vBulletin 3.6.1 and I've rebuilt all counters.

If I'm able to reproduce this again I'll post here again

I've now found out the thingie I meant with the re-writing of links in a quote or in the thread vBCode.

    1. Write a new post, include a quote or a threadlink with the thread vBCode.

    2. Enable Ajax Quick Edit, so that the post becomes an editable field if you click on the edit button

    3. Don't edit something and click Save

After that, all URLs aren't re-written in this post. If you refresh the site after that the url is re-written, since search engines can't edit posts and the problem seems only to be there for you until you've clicked on a link or refreshed the site it shouldn't be a problem though.

    Hello Gerrit,

thank you for details! It seems to be working correctly for me though.

Could you please provide an example URL/test account at your forums via support ticket so that I can check it?

I don't think we'll need a separate forum for this, just a way to reproduce this issue. Thanks!
