| URL rewrite problem after upgrading to 2.4
My forums under domain.com/forums and vBa running in the domain. I followed exactly the same mentioned in the docs for upgrading. Once i installed i got this weird problem which made me to disable the plugin. in the home page(powered by vBa) the threads r shown with dynamic url links and when the link is clicked a 404 error is showing up.So i tried the links from the forums/ and in there the threads and forum links r shown the same way(dynamic php urls) and when the links r clicked it shows up something like this domain.com/forum-title/thread-title.html(which was shown as domain.com.forumdisplay.php?.... in the forums page) but it should have been domain.com/forums/..... So i tried to access the page manually by entering forums after the domain.com to see if the links r active. But domain.com/forums/forum-title/thread-title.html is been redirected to domain.com/forum-title/thread-title.html and ends up in 404. The redirectBase is enabled n set to /forums. i can access the forums/vbseocp.php and i disabled the plugin so that the forum is running. I had to disable all robots so that the dynamic links don't get picked up n the broken links r found. Juan... wot could have gone wrong? i tried to uninstall the product n tried the upgrade process twice and still no result. Anyone had the same problem after upgrading to 2.4.0 i uninstalled vbseo sitemap and conditional signature plugin as well to see if thr is any conflict, still can't get through :( |
