URL adding forum name to images path

I have no idea what's causing this one all of a sudden but all my forum graphics link to a URL that has the domain name as part of it:

    So instead of

    http://www.mydomain.com/images/icons/icon1.gif

    It becomes:

    http://www.mydomain.com/forum/forum-...cons/icon1.gif

Everything is still set to default as per vanilla install, I wouldn't know what to change anyway.

Maybe something else is causing this but turning vbseo off does nevertheless fix the problem.

Any clues as to why this is happening?

    Thanks

What is an example URL where the issue happens? You forum seems to be fine for me.

Turns out this was my own personal contribution to Darwinism.

Although vbseo was enabled, htaccess was there the whole vbulletin plugin system was turned off.

It's on my dev site, a lot going on, should have checked better.

The prompt support is nevertheless appreciated!

    Thank you.

As mentioned above, vBulletin plugin system was disabled in vB admincp in this case. Make sure that vBSEO xml product is installed and Plugins system is enabled.
