    Hi!

For those sites using vB engine for output on the root index pages (like vBadvanced) all rewrites are done automatically.
If this is not your case, you may check vBSEO Functions for Extensibility thread to implement URLs rewrite for custom scripts.

The above modification makes use of the ./external.php file which for some reason doesnt get vBSEO'ed. Never fear though, as Chris M has released a plugin which displayed latest threads and works with vB SEO. Check it out here.

My external.php gets vbSEO'ed. Unless this isn't what you mean?

Look at the URLs in my RSS feed: http://www.fireblades.org/forums/external.php?type=rss2

Sorry, i meant in the instance which this modification is being used, takes information from the ./external.php file before it can be vB SEOed. Here is the www.vbulletin.com discussion with Floris the creator of this modification: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=145525

The basic problem according to Colin F is:
As the URLs are passed through the JavaScript feed of external.php, these aren't converted.

You'd have to edit the external.php file, I'd guess.
