Exclamation troubles with 404 - please help

    hi

can you please help with the 404 error i am getting on forums

    http://www.hardtalker.com/forums/

please check the test file here

    http://www.hardtalker.com/test.php

its a windows server but this website setup on apache. i have checked if it could work with rewritebase

the physical path to the forums is

    C:/Inetpub/webbb/hardtalker.com/forums

i bought vBulletin SEO yesterday and we are not able to make it work.

your help will be highly appreciated.

    we have mod rewrite enabled

below is what was already in the httpd.conf of apache.

    LoadModule negotiation_module modules/mod_negotiation.so
    LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so
    LoadModule setenvif_module modules/mod_setenvif.so

infact, this can also be seen in the test file

    http://www.hardtalker.com/test.php?info=1

    Loaded Modules core mod_win32 mpm_winnt http_core mod_so mod_access mod_actions mod_alias mod_asis mod_auth mod_autoindex mod_cgi mod_dir mod_env mod_imap mod_include mod_isapi mod_log_config mod_mime mod_negotiation mod_rewrite mod_setenvif mod_userdir sapi_apache2

i uploaded the htacess file as supplied. and i am not sure if its working fine or not, as it only has code supplied by you. i havent used to earlier.

i tried another thing to copy all the matter in htaccess into the apache conf for the website hosted, but it was of no help.

i am not sure if its an issue with the rewritebase thing. but i used url rewriting from mod rewrite and it worked pretty fine. and i didnt use .htaccess, just placed rules in http conf for apache.

    thanks
    bedesi

Looks like a server configuration issue. PM sent.
