| # in thread titles showing weird
Hello, New to VBSEO so please bare with me. I have a thread title ALOHA SPIRIT - CHARTER #2 and the url is rewritten to /forum/charters-open-party-ride-sharing/9348-aloha-spirit-charter-2-a.html First of all, why is there an a in the url? I understand it's better not to use the # in it but why was it substituded with a letter rather than dropped? I've also seen this happen with other characters in my forum. How can I fix this? Thanks Last edited by GBSF; 09-25-2006 at 02:38 AM. |

The a is used whenever a thread title ends in a number. It's just something vBSEO uses to know what is the title, and what is the thread id.

Thanks for that info. Now I have another question, in regards to ' Currently my VBSEO rewrites this as a dash and the letter after it is also put in the url. Example: Thread Title: How's everybody doing Rewritten to: /forum/6193-how-s-everybody-doing.html Should it be this way??? Seems a little weird to me. |
