Exclamation Suggestions on good hosts and pricing?

For around 80-120 concurrent Members and 300 guests, what is a feasible pricingper month and what server package would you run today? Bigboardranking between 1000 and 1500.

For example it takes 15 queries to open a forum and 15 queris to open a thread. 10 queries to open my PM inbox.

I beleive I am running a slower dual core server as a DB-server and the webserver is runnign a dual INTEL XEON 3.0GHZ-2MB DL360G4.

After VBSEO thesite has been slower and slower.

Im thinking of this one with 32 GB of RAM. Any thoughts?

    DELL POWEREDGE 2950 III XE E5410 2X2.33-2X6MB 4GB/3X73GB

    Thank you for your thoughts.

32 gb of ram is WAY overkill.

i support 400 concurrent (total) on a single machine, dual quad core 2.0ghz with 2 gb of ram.... plus, my other 15 sites and blogs that don't do much traffic (2-3 a piece conncurrent)

But how many active members? And how much traffic do you push? Fpr soem reason my site is slow. I might have several hundreds of thousands of unique visitors each month.

Do you think me current setup is elow standard?

Also, what do yo upay per traffic per month for that machine? Around?

my server costs me 384 a month.

i do 10,000 uniques and 35,000 page views a day + my little sites.

    no issues.

Instead of buying hardware, i'd hire someone like total serversolutions to tweak your settings and stuff first... install cachers, etc.

Those are Google analtycis numbers for you?

So with 50 000 Google analtyics pageviews per day and 4-500 members + guests is enough with a dual quad core 2.0ghz with 2 gb of ram?

WHat bandwith in GB are you pushing per month?

    and who si your hoster

    thanks

    i'm at softlayer.com

i use about 5-6 gb of b/w a day. My skin is very lightweight (not graphic intensive at all)

to be safe for you, i'd go with 4gb of ram instead of 2 and a raid 10 with 15k iscsi drives.

Does Q9600 webserver and q3600 webserver say you anything?

Would that conifg be more than enough for a graphic heavy site with the traffic peer above?

    Thanks
