    Exclamation Subforums same URL!!!

    Guys,

I have two subforums with the same name, and when I follow the link to one, it goes to the other.

    Example:

    VBSEO: /forum/bugs
    VBULLETIN: /forum/bugs

    (CONFLICT)

    The correct should be:

    VBSEO: /forum/vbseo/bugs
    VBULLETIN: /forum/vbulletin/bugs

And maybe this way it would have more relevance, although the total length of this URL would probably be huge.

    Please,
I need any solution for this asap! This is a conflict and I can say that this is a VBSEO bug.

    Hello Renato ,

This is not a bug. This is just a limitation and this limitation occurs on even your PC. Please try creating two folders within Desktop on your pc with the name Tryme , you will 100% get a warning

There is 3 solution to solve this problem :

    1. You can add forumid to rewrite rule
    2. You can change same name subforums name
    3. You can use vBSEO Slugs

Yes I know. The bug I'm talking about is that if I have two subforuns with the same name (but in different parent forums), the url's have a conflict. What I'm trying to say is that VBSEO should treat this issue.

Taking your example, I'm not creating two folders with the same name on my desktop, but inside other folders.

    For instance:
    Desktop/Folder1/Test
    Desktop/Folder2/Test

So they have the same name but in different parent directories.
If we ask VBSEO to read this two forums, it would read like this:

    Desktop/Test
    Desktop/Test

I have a lot of other forums and subforums and maybe they could have the same name, I'd take a long time to do the options number 2 and 3.

How can I implement the solution number 1?

Look for URL Rewrite Settings within vBSEO Control Panel

You'll see Advanced Settings (+ / -) . Click on + to expand settings. You can add forumid over there.
