    Sub-Forums with same name

    Hi,

    In different main forums I have sub forums with the same names which doesn't work properly for obvious reason

    Example:

    => Sony (Main Forum)
    ==> Televisions (Sub Forum)

    => Phillips (Main Forum)
    ==> Televisions (Sub Forum)

    => Beko (Main Forum)
    ==> Televisions (Sub Forum)

    Is there a way of solving this conflict of sub-forum names without sacrificing SE indexing or renaming the sub-forums?

    Many Thanks

    You will need to rename the forums, or add the forum ID to the URL format.

    I would repeat the brand name to get that keyword on the page more, and it will also give you unique names.

    Also, when you do a search or use New Posts, for example, vBulletin only shows the name of the forum the thread is in, not the parent forum, so looking at search results will show that all matches are in "Televisions", when they may only care about the matches that came up in one or two of those forums. With the more descriptive name, it will be obvious which forum it is.

    => Sony (Main Forum)
    ==> Sony Televisions (Sub Forum)

    => Phillips (Main Forum)
    ==> Phillips Televisions (Sub Forum)

    => Beko (Main Forum)
    ==> Beko Televisions (Sub Forum)

    You'll probably need to include forum id's in the url, which will stop any conflicts (as far as vbseo is concerned)
