Strange: Copyright Link Reappears
Hello,

I have a strange problem: I edited the vbseo config file to show a non-linked copyright notice at the bottom. It works fine, but after some time the link reappears and I have to upload the config file again.

Why is that happening?

If you are a vBSEO Affiliate, and you enter your Affiliate ID into the vBSEO Control Panel, it will override that and make it into a link using your affiliate ID to credit you for any sales that you refer. If you don't want it to be a link, you can remove your affiliate ID from that field.

If you're not an Affiliate, double-check your vBSEO config file to make sure you still have defined a non-linked version of the copyright line.

No, I'm not an affiliate and didn't put an affiliate ID.

It gets stranger:
  1. I don't want the link in the footer so I edited the config_vbseo.php file and set the copyright notice to option 6.
  2. When I upload the file, the correct copyright notice is displayed, but recent changes I made in vbseocp (no rewrite for printthread, no rewrite for showpost, ...) don't work anymore.
  3. If I want them to work again I have to push 'save all settings' in vbseocp but then I get a linked copyright notice again

Hello,

you should download config_vbseo.php file with your settings first, then change copyright option and reupload it.
