    Step by Step please

    Hi,

I'm looking for someone to help me download vBSEO.

    First, there is the following:

    Encoder Compatibility Test Script 1.0

I have cPanel. Which folder in File Manager do I upload or install this test script?

I also have Fantastico, and I can create a phpBB forums. Do I install the test script inside the forums folder?

After I install this test script correctly, then what? Will it tell me which one to choose from the following?

    vBSEO 3.0.0

    ionCube version
    Zend version

Ok, so I pick one of the two. Where do I upload and install it in File Manager? Or where in the Forums folder of phpBB?

If I seem rather ignorant with my questions, please bear with me. Sometimes I get quite lost with this technology.

    Thanks for your help.

    Rony

I can create a phpBB forums.
You should have vBulletin forum, vBSEO works only for it.

    Hello,

    1. you should download "Encoder Compatibility Test Script 1.0", unpack it and upload test.php file to your main vBulletin folder on the server

    2. Test script will tell you whether to use Zend or Ioncube version of vBSEO

    3. You will download corresponding version of vBSEO, unpack it and find readme.html with installation instructions inside

Ok, where do I get vBulletin forum?

In my Fantastico, I only see two forum programs: phpBB2 and SMF.

I found the vBulletin site, and have leased their forum software. I will work on installing it first, and then I'll try and figure out how to install vBSEO.

I finished installing vBSEO. In the download section, there is also vBSEO Sitemap Generator 2.0, as well as, vBSEO Conditional Signatures 1.4.2.

Are these also included in my lease of vBSEO? Can I install them on my forum?

    Hi

    You only need to install

vBSEO Sitemap Generator 2.0 as well as vBSEO.

    Good luck with your forum.

I've installed sitemap. I'm confused though about this step:

    ==================================

    B. Enable rewriting via .htaccess (vBSEO Users skip this step):

    1. Upload the vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap .htaccess file (located in the 'htaccess' folder) to your forum root.
Note: In some operating systems, the .htaccess file is not visible. If this is your case, find the htaccess.txt file in the same folder, (1) upload it to your forum root folder and (2) rename it to .htaccess.

Note: If you already have an .htaccess file in your forum root, DO NOT upload the vBSEO Google/Yahoo Sitemap .htaccess file as it will replace the contents of this file. Instead, enter the following code in your 'forum-root/.htaccess' file at the bottom:

    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteRule ^((urllist|sitemap).*\.(xml|txt)(\.gz)?)$ vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$1 [L]

    ================================================== ==

Do I enter the code at the bottom of the .htaccess file? Or, should I skip this step alltogether?

As you are a vBSEO user, yes.

    B. Enable rewriting via .htaccess (vBSEO Users skip this step):
