    Specific problems after server move

I have three particular problems after moving from a shared server to a new, dedicated box and I need to find out if they are related to vBSEO.

I am running vBSEO 2.2.2 and this is what's happening:

    1. My CMPS front page - portal.php - is automatically directed to index.php

This link should have provided the CMPS portal but gives you my forum index instead:
    http://www.hypography.com/portal.php

    2. URLs like /?page=rules just go directly to the index.php page

    3. Threads which span multiple pages: I can't access the first page! I can however access any other page of the thread. I can't figure out what is causing this.

    Example that works:
    http://forums.hypography.com/astrono...ormhole-2.html

Same thread, first page, throws a blank page:
    http://forums.hypography.com/astrono...-wormhole.html

    Any feedback is appreciated.

I will update to the latest version of vBSEO but I need to understand if something is breaking due to the new server config or because some file is broken.

    Specs: CentOS 4, Apache 2.0.52, MySQL 4.1.12, vBSEO 2.2.2, vBulletin 3.5.3, vBadvanced CMPS 2.0.0

    Hello,

    1. Probably you didn't moved all files during server transfer (I got 404 error when accessing portal.php)
    2. http://www.hypography.com/?page=rules is not redirect for me.
    3. The page #1 is opened correctly for me too: http://forums.hypography.com/astrono...-wormhole.html

    Thanks, Oleg.

    1. My bad. The url is http://forums.hypography.com/portal.php ... I've been sitting here for 14 hours so my eyes are crossed... but it does not work.

    2. Same issue. http://forums.hypography.com/?page=rules

    3. Huh....strange. What browser?

Funny...the first page of multi-page threads come up if you're seeing them as a guest, but not as a logged-in member. So something fishy with that, then.

#3 is probably not a vBSEO related issue at all.

Found an example of a vBSEO-ed page that throws a 404:

    http://forums.hypography.com/compute...ing-forum.html

What could be the problem? Too long filename?

1 Do you have CRRs defined? "Define Homepage Aliases" in vbseocp?
    2. this page is still not redirected for me (although it shows forums home)

Can't be the length of a filename. Every thread that has more than 10 posts throw a 404 on me with vBSEO. Strange.

    Sorry, what's a "CRR"?

Homepage alias, yes. When I disabled vbseo, the portal showed up. Reenable vbseo, it's gone.

    the list is:
    portal.php
    portal.php?

This did not work even with vBSEO disabled.

After upgrading to vBSEO 2.4.0 I am having lots and lots of problems with pages not being displayed...throwing blank pages in Firefox and "Page cannot be displayed" in IE 6.

CRR = Custom Rewrite Rules, apparently. No, I have none of those.

My biggest problem is still this one:

    Example that works:
    http://forums.hypography.com/astrono...ormhole-2.html

Same thread, first page, throws a blank page:
    http://forums.hypography.com/astrono...-wormhole.html

Oops...after upgrading to 2.4.0 NONE of those links work...wow...

This is acronym for Custom Rewrite Rules.

Homepage alias, yes. When I disabled vbseo, the portal showed up. Reenable vbseo, it's gone.

    the list is:
    portal.php
    portal.php?
If you have "Force Forum Root as Homepage?" enabled at the same time, these pages are redirected to root. You should either disable the option or remove "portal.php" entries from the aliases list.

No, "Force forum root" is disabled.

But Oleg, I have absolutely no working pages at the moment. I can't even get into vbseocp.php.

    This is really messed up.

The apache error_log has lots of entries like this:

PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function: vbseo_complete_sec() in /home/user/public_html/includes/class_postbit.php(279) : eval()'d code on line 8

    And these:

    File does not exist: /home/user/public_html/earth-science.html

    (which is a rewritten url)
