    Special Characters & Rewrite

I'm having an issue with a member who has Japanese characters in his username. The URL to his profile is coming out like:

    /members/and-12463-and-12525-and-12473.html

And gives a "member not found" when visited. He's also unable to use an avatar, it's replaced with a generic "vBulletin" white image.

I was thinking the best way to fix this would be to disable vBSEO's rewriting of member profiles and avatar urls... but I don't know how. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks!

I'm having this same problem. Could you be a little more specific on how to fix this? Thanks.

Where can I locate and update the vbseo_config.php file?

I've been looking everywhere for this. Cant find it.
I got on my server and looked all around for a file called vbseo_config.php couldn't find it. I looked all through the settings for vbseo and couldn't find it either.
I even checked the admin cp for vb and still couldn't find anything.

    :(

    I found a config_vbseo.php but no vbseo_config.php

is that what you meant or is there somewhere else I should look?

    Oleg:

The solution that you reference to change the config file doesn't work all the time.

I have a member with the username of Tony-B and it gets replace with Tony B. I have the option set to 1 in the config file as suggested.

Do you put the other option
    members/[user_name]-[user_id].html
    in the CRR?
