Sitemap (re)submission

I just did a new Privacy Policy/Statement

Is it necessary to re-submit the Sitemap to Google?

I don't think so but I read somewhere that said that you must/should.

Please advise.

The privacy policy is not part of the sitemap. You will have to add it manually (if you wish, not necessary) to the extra urls txt file. As long as its on the site, its not a necessary page to have indexed, and thus, i wouldn't bother putting it in the sitemap.
